Produced within the very dark times of UK and US politics, made yet darker by the pandemic and 'Brexit,' this album struggles to hit a joyous note. But, as the album cover suggests, there is light obscured by all of this darkness, but is this light itself accompanied by further storms? That is the question. In the meantime, the songs speak for themselves, and for the frame of mind that originated them. As an escape, a few covers are sprinkled through the set just to add another (admittedly often similarly dark) perspective.
