This album was produced over a three week period, with one track being recorded each day. It features twenty pedal steel duos plus one final track where many pedal steels are used for climactic purposes. The track order has been adjusted to create a more varied vibe. Throughout, the steel is recorded unedited and with very minimal effects (reverb and delay). Idiomatically, there is a wide range of styles and genres covered, although variety is never sought for its own sake. Each piece was created from scratch each day, with a great deal of time devoted to arriving at a satisfactory level of performance. This usually took many takes and often required a considerable amount of foul language (directed at myself of course). Now that it's over I am very satisfied with the results, but I'm easily pleased.
