There are two types of chance operative on this album: the juxtaposition of unrelated events producing new events; and the combination of related events producing unexpected events. As the philosopher, Deleuze says: chance is only uncertain until it is affirmed. Thus, the affirmation of chance events on this album thereby creates its own certainty (albeit an unpredictable certainty) I hope that's clear!!
