This album is the result of extensive research in Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, the Chinese restaurants of North Somerset (Cheungs in Yatton, to be more specific), and the Giggling Squid in Berkhampstead, mixed with some memories of Disney cartoons ('I am Siamese if you don't please'). Musically, it is a hybrid of 'eastern' muzak and ersatz chinoiserie, all underpinned by the pedal steel guitar.
